China is preparing to begin a freight train administration to Pakistan – the second such connection in South Asia.
The new line will begin from Lanzhou, capital of China’s northwest Gansu area, and go through Uygur locale to the Gwadar Port in Pakistan, in a leading news organization reported on Thursday.
Xu Chunhua, Director of Lanzhou International Trade and Logistic Park, made the declaration at the China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair.
In May 2016, a rail and road cargo service opened amongst Lanzhou and Kathmandu.
Mr Xu said the cargo service had been invited by South Asian nations.
In 2016, bilateral trade amongst China and Nepal was more than 3 billion yuan (about $440 million) and the volume is gauge to hit 10 billion yuan this year.
