Tamil Nadu: On Thursday morning (in dawn hours), a slight misfortune took place close to Dasampatti in Tamil Nadu. A train, T.No.22651 Chennai Central Palani Express, touring from Krishnagiri to Pazhani derailed at Dasampatti. The accident is supposed to have been caused due to the station master's vagueness. The station master who should have changed the track of the train unsuccessful to do so. The engine and one boogie of the train derailed.
The occurrence took place at 2 am on Thursday morning and it took three and a half hour previous to the train was moved using an additional engine. As the train was travelling at a sluggish pace the travelers were safe and a major accident was averted. The Salem railway chief is investigating the case and a statement will be soon submitted to the Chennai Railway chief. Due to derailment of the locomotive and a complete compartment of T.No.22651 Chennai Central Palani Express near Dasampatti, T.Nos.12626 New Delhi-Trivandrum Kerala Express, 22205-Chennai Central Madurai Duronto Express, 12673-Chennai Central-Coimbatore Cheran Express, 22649-Erode -Chennai Central Yercaud Express, 17230, Hyderabad-Trivandrum Sabari Express, 12511-Gorakpur-Trivandrum Rapti Sagar Express are belated on equally sides. Train No.12626 has just commenced from the spot.
Restitution work has been finished and T.No.22651 has commenced from the spot. No passenger has been wounded.
