Chennai: After the suicide of Ariyalur candidate Anitha, several aspirants strike on Tuesday against NEET examination in various colleges of Chennai.
Various colleges in the city were closed since three days and it opened on Tuesday. Several candidates from Loyola College bunked their classes and striked against the NEET common entrance exam outside their college.
Due to the protest, several cops were enforced at the college to handle the situation. Candidates carried out protest in Chennai on Tuesday and lifted slogans against NEET and ordered integrity for Anitha.
Pachaiyappa’s College, Presidency College, and Government Arts College for Men aspirants missed their classes to protest against NEET examination in Nandanam.
The cops arrested several aspirants who made attempt to obstruct way of trains at Central Station.
University of Madras aspirants carried out protest outside the Centenary building.
“We want to condemn the death of Anitha. The central government should give exemption from the Neet exam and the politically unstable state government should quit,” one of the student said during protest.
The cops detained more than 400 candidates who made efforts to protest at Broad-way.
