The rates of petrol and diesel are changed daily in India with effects from June 15 in year 2017. The prices that have been mentioned below were valid from 6 am morning.
Three fuel marketing companies including Hindustan Petroleum, Bharat Petroleum and Indian Oil companies took decision to alter the costs of petrol and diesel before 15th June 2017.
It decided with aspire at improved domestic costs of petrol and diesel consistent with global oil rates.
All these companies carried out 40-day trial in several cities Puducherry, Jamshedpur, Visakhapatnam, Chandigarh and Udaipur before implementing the daily revision plan in India.
Petroleum Minister Pradhan posted on Twitter, “Proud to share that India is first country to switch to dynamic fuel pricing on such a large scale in one go.”
