New Delhi: The rates of petrol and diesel were increased by 3 paise per litre on 11th October. It was valid from 6:00 am today.
The petrol and diesel costs are modified everyday as per the dynamic pricing scheme consistent with global crude oil prices.
Petrol costs were altered in India daily with effect from June 15, 2017. The result to change the petrol rate was taken by three state oil marketing companies Bharat Petroleum, Indian Oil and Hindustan Petroleum. The costs of petrol and diesel that have been cited below were valid from 10th October morning.
All these state oil marketing companies took decision with plan at improved arrangement of domestic prices of petrol and diesel with universal oil costs. Prior to implementing the daily revision plan in India, these organizations carried out 40-day analysis in five cities including Puducherry, Jamshedpur, Visakhapatnam, Chandigarh, Udaipur.
Petroleum Minister Pradhan shared on Twitter, “Proud to share that India is first country to switch to dynamic fuel pricing on such a large scale in one go.”
