Maharashtra: 11 workers killed and 20 other injured in road mishap
Sangli: A horrific incident occurred early on Saturday morning when a truck carrying workers overturned close to Tasgaon town in Sangli. The mishap occurred at about 2 am on Saturday morning and in the mishap over 11 labourers killed and 20 other wounded.
The truck flipped over at a sharp turn amid low visibility near Tasgaon town in this western Maharashtra district.
Locals informed the police about the incident and wounded were immediately hurried to the nearby hospital. The truck carrying labourers was heading towards to Solapur from Karad in adjoining Satara district.
Police officials further revealed that all the labourers are from Karnataka and they had to travel on a truck as the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) employees were on strike. Police officials further added that the further investigation in the matter is on.
