Chandigarh: DSP charged for murder, guns himself


CHANDIGARH: A former Hisar DSP recognized as Bhagwan Dass ho was charged for the murder of three people in Hisar village of Haryana allegedly tried to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head. The incident comes two days post he was accused in the murder case.

The former DSP shot himself with his service gun at officer’s lodging in Panchkula’s police lines where he was living after he was shifted from Hisar and joined to the police central station. The transfer orders for him came after the murder.

With blood spouting out of his temples, Dass was moved to a private hospital in Panchkula. His condition was critical as of late Wednesday evening. According to the Forensic specialists Dass shot himself in the right sanctuary. The bullet hit and injured the left sanctuary and hit a glass window.

A suicide note was found in the room yet authorities declined to give details. As per the sources post the transfer order as he reported at the Panchkula central station, Dass registered with a room at the officers’ mess.
