On Sunday, Defense Minister Manohar Parrikar implied that the arrangement possibly gave over to CBI for examination.

"I am not going to give an automatic response and simply create an impression in light of gossipy tidbits. I have requested a report, which will be submitted on Monday, and if the issues are of a criminal nature, then we can forward this case to the CBI for a criminal examination. In the event that there are simply procedural issues, then we can do an inner examination," Parrikar had said.

Prior, DRDO had looked for clarification from Brazilian aviation combination Embraer over charged kickback installment in an arrangement for flying machines went into amid the UPA administration, Defense Ministry said.

The issue went to the fore after a report in a Brazilian daily paper said that examinations have been opened by the legislature of the United States to set up whether Embraer paid fixes so as to get contracts abroad.

From that point forward, the examination has broadened to look at business dealings with eight more nations, including India and Saudi Arabia.
