NEW DELHI:  On Thursday an informed source conveyed that, the CBI is investigating grievances from the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department alongside two of its previous directors vis-a-vis a case connecting meat exporter Moin Ahmed Qureshi.

The Central Bureau of Investigation source conveyed on circumstances of secrecy that, they have received the grievance against two previous CBI directors – Ranjit Sinha and A.P. Singh – from the Enforcement Directorate and the Income Tax Department and we are investigating the complaint.

The source has also further conveyed that, the central agency had neither registered any case nor commenced a beginning inquiry as yet alongside the two ex- directors.

The grievance comes in the wake of an examination carried out by the ED and IT Department against Qureshi on charge of non-disclosure of income of nearly Rs. 20 crore and dodging tax on it.
