Finally the upcoming film of Sidharth Malhotra ‘Aiyaary’ has been awarded a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film got few few minor cuts which were advised by the board and the Ministry of Defence. The film made headlines when the CBFC asked the makers to get an approval from MoD before they could certify it.
Actor Naseeruddin Shah mentioned that the property which is reserved for widows of martyred soldiers will be taken over by politicians and their cronies, a similar incident in 2010 lead to Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan resigning from his post. The actor is doing a cameo role in the film.
The close source to the developments said that as the cuts are minor, it won’t affect the film.
The story of the film is based on dealing with corruption in certain sections of the army. It is believed to be inspired by the famous Adarsh Housing Society scam.
