Burglars loot Rs. 63 lakh in different parts of the city


NEW DELHI: In two separate burglaries, Rs. 63 lakh was plundered from a Chartered Accountant and a collection agent in various parts of the city on Thursday.

The CA was plundered of Rs. 40 lakh money he was conveying from his one office to other in Daryaganj region in focal Delhi around 12:30 pm, police said.

"He was blocked by three bikers who grabbed the cash from him. A case has been enlisted and investigation has been taken up," a police representative said.

In the other occurrence, a collection agent working with a portable revive dealer at Azadpur market in north Delhi's Bara Hindurao region was ransacked off Rs. 23 lakh around 8 pm.

"Sanjay was coming back to Azadpur market subsequent to gathering the officer cash from Chandni Chowk range when his bike slammed into another bike near Bara Hindurao Chowk," a police representative said.

"The two men riding the other bike grabbed a battle with him and grabbed his pack containing Rs. 23 lakh," he included.
