Building collapse in Kota, 2 women died

Kota: Two women buried alive in the debris following a two-storied building collapsed in Vasundhara Vihar Colony under Borekheda police station. Last night the bodies were recovered and handed over to family following post-mortem.

SHO, Borekheda police station, Phralad also conveyed that on Monday a two-storied building in Vasundhara Vihar Colony collapsed about 7pm. The building was owned Padam Kumar Jain. The departed recognized as Chandra Kala Jain (52), and her housemaid Santosh Mali (45).

The rescue operation instantly initiated. The SHO further conveyed that, senior police and district government officials also arrived at the spot.

Chandra Kala’s body was recovered about 8pm whereas Santosh’s body was recovered around 11pm. Over 40 personnel with JCB machines were pressed in the rescue operation. A case was filed under Section 174 of CrPC. The reason behind the building collapse is not cleared.

Further investigation in the matter is on.
