New Delhi: A man claiming to be a former member of AAP's minority cell has registered a complaint against Rohtash Nagar MLA Sarita Singh, accusing her of demanding Rs 9-lakh bribe in exchange for jobs to a few locals.

Police said that an inquiry had been ordered into the complaint. The AAP legislator, however, refuted the charge saying she had also registered a counter-complaint against the man for forging her stamp and signature, because of which he was removed from the party. "We had removed him from the party some time ago but did not register a police complaint because he pleaded innocence," said Singh.

The complainant, Shakeel Ahmed, however, said that Singh had promised to offer jobs to some party members after she became an MLA but later stopped taking their calls. He alleged that he had given her Rs 9 lakh, which she refused to return later. Police said an FIR would be registered only if the allegations were found to be correct.
