SLAMABAD: A senior provincial official has also further conveyed that, a bomb blast at a Pakistani hospital killed at least 30 people and injured dozens in Quetta, the capital of the violence-plagued southwestern province of Baluchistan. On Monday locals have conveyed that, the blast happened as mourners, mostly lawyers and journalists, collected to accompany the body of Bilal Anwar Kasi, a famous lawyer, who was shot and killed in the city former.
Sources have also further conveyed that, more than 50 mourners were penetrating the emergency department of the hospital, accompanying Kasi's body, when the bomb went off, Faridullah, a journalist who was at the scene. Geo has also further conveyed accounting that, Kasi was shot and killed untimely on Monday morning while on his way to the main court complex in Quetta. Targeted killings have become ever more common in Quetta, the capital of a province that has seen increasing violence associated to a separatist insurgency as well as sectarian tensions and rising crime.
