Based on social issues, the Bollywood film ‘Hindi Medium’ was a social comedy that lays emphasis on some grave topics of ‘Right to Education’ and ‘confusing elitism with English’. Directed by Saket Chaudhary was one of the successful films of the year 2017.
Irrfan Khan starrer ‘Hindi Medium’ is now all set to have a sequel. According to the latest reports, Hindi Medium part 2 is all set to go on the floors in August with Irrfan continuing in his role of Raj Batra, a rich Delhi-based businessman.
However, the sequel will neither have Saba Qamar nor the child artist in the film, suggested the reports.
Also director Saket Chaudhary is not the part of the film. Saket who has earlier worked on films like Pyaar Ke Side Effects and Shaadi Ke Side Effects said that “I have no idea about the film, I’m not a part of it.”
A source stated that, “The plot of the sequel will flash-forwards by a decade so five-year-old Pia will be in her teens now, around 15-16 years. The story will be a fresh take on the Indian educational system with little reference to the original”.
