BMW introduces 5 Series Petrol Variant in India


New Delhi: The German car maker manufacturer BMW has launched the new 5 series petrol variant in Indian market. The new BMW 520i is priced at Rs 54 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The new BMW 520i is exclusive available with the ‘Luxury Line’ design scheme that embodies the ultimate in elegance.

The 520i uses the same TwinPower turbocharged 2.0-litre petrol engine as the 320i which produces 184hp and 270Nm. The motor is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission and BMW claims that the car can accelerate from 0-100kph in 7.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 233kph.

Only three body colour options can be opted for by customers buying BMW 520i model – Alpine White, Black Sapphire, and Imperial Blue Brilliant effect. Interior gets fine-wood trim Fineline Anthracite with highlight trim finisher in Chrome Pearl Grey.

The new BMW 5-Series range of cars consists of two diesel engines that include the 520d and the 530d which are locally produced in Chennai, while the petrol engine 520i available as a CBU import.
