The famous German luxury car maker BMW has imported petrol powered units of its 3 series and 5 series in India and the Bavaria based giant has officially launched the petrol variant of the BMW 3 Series. The company has disclosed the price of 320i sedan at 36.9 lakhs and 42.70 lakhs for luxury lines in Ex- showroom in Delhi.
Powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder twin-power petrol engine, the BMW 3 Series belts out 184 bhp of power and 270 Nm of torque available between 1350-4600rpm. The sedan speeds up from 0-100 km/h in just 7.3 seconds to a high speed of 235 km/h .The engine is mated with an 8-speed automatic gearbox present in both the variants. The luxury line got the paddle shifters too on the steering wheel to gear a sportier driving experience.
The interior layout is alike the BMW 3 series before the facelift was launched in January, but still it gets some additional material like chrome highlights, ambient lights and high gloss surfaces. The new 3 Series showed updated HUD (Heads up Display) with 3D graphics, while both variants posses 8.8-inch infotainment screen with navigation.
Booking for these cars will start in June 2016. The company has resorted to this decision seeing the inclination of customers towards petrol cars these days.
