New Delhi: On Tuesday Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik declared his party’s support to Gopalkrishna Gandhi, the opponent candidate for the vice-presidential election.
The regional party assisted NDA candidate Ram Nath Kovind in the presidential election polling which was conducted yesterday. CM preferred to go with opposition parties this time.
The BJD president further conveyed that, the Biju Janata Dal will assist Sri Gopalkrishna Gandhi. BJD parliamentary party representative Kalikesh Singhdeo further added that, Patnaik has proved that the BJD has been maintaining equal distance from the Congress and the BJP.
CM had in 2012 conveyed that Gandhi was an “old and valued friend. We were friends even when I was not in politics”.
