Bikers shoot Class XI student over parking dispute


GREATER NOIDA: Two bikers shot dead a Class XI student of Ami chand Inter College in Kasna following a scuffle over parking near Prakash Institute in Sector Omega IV , Greater Noida on Monday.

The deceased identified as Deepak Singh, 17, a resident of Omicron IA, was shot in the head by two unidentified assailants around 10 am, police said. Some passersby shot videos of the student lying on the road, blood oozing from his head.

“On Sunday, Deepak’s tutor Rajiv Shrivastava, an inhabitant of adjacent Parsvnath Estate in Sector Omega IV, had looked for his assistance in a debate with his society’s watchmen over a parking spot. Deepak went to settle the issue alongside three-four companions,” said a cop. Whenever Deepak and his companions were close Parsvnath Estate, two occupants came to there and got a fight with them. “One of the two shot at Deepak. We are attempting to distinguish the blamed from the CCTV footage for the range,” the officer said. “I saw a PCR van going through our area. After five minutes, I got a call from the police saying that my own child had been shot,” Amrinder Singh, Deepak’s dad, told the media.

The guardians have not named any suspects. Deepak was taken to Yatharth Wellness and Trauma Center, Sector Omega 1. A FIR has been documented against unidentified people under Section 302 (murder) of the IPC. Kasna SHO Sudhir Tyagi told the media that they had discovered two cell phones on the spot.
