Bikaner: Three teenaged brothers drown in reservoir


Bikaner: 3 teenaged brothers drown on Sunday morning in Bikaner as all three gone for swim in small water reservoir (stored drinking water for cattle). The mishap occurred at around 11.15am on Sunday at Nathusar village under Pachu police station area.

Poliec officials conveyed that Shyam Nath (14), his young brother Sundar Nath (11) and among both youngest brother Satya Nath (9) following passing time with cattle resolute to swim and all go for a swim in Diggi.

Primarily, their father stopped them but afterward allowed. After the mishap his father Kheraj Nath was in shock. He fell unconscious and was immediately taken to hospital for treatment. Kanhiya Lal, SHO, Pachu police station also further conveyed that as they were getting inside the reservoir, the youngest brother commenced drowning.

He begins shouting for help. Both other brothers attempted to save but they also drowned. The reservoir located in the middle of the farm. Nobody heard their shout and, thus all three drowned. The incident came to light when some villager was passing through the area.

The villagers were stunned at three deaths in a family. Police officials further added that the reservoir is about five meters deep which is for a non-swimmer. Police following post-mortem handed over the bodies to the family.
