PATNA: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) patriarch and former Bihar chief minister Lalu Prasad Yadav appeared before a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) special court in Ranchi Jharkhand in connection with the fodder scam case. Lalu Prasad has gone to Ranchi as he has to appear before a special CBI court there on June 13 i.e monday," his counsel told to media on Sunday.
On June 2, the court had summoned 38 people accused in a case related to fraudulent withdrawal of Rs. 3.31 crore from Dumka treasury including the RJD chief. Mr. Lalu arrived on Ranchi on Sunday evening from Patna. The case trial is under process Mr. Lalu Prasad had already been convicted in a fodder scam and he was awarded five years sentence in October 2013. He is currently on bail.
