Heavy rain and flood situation take the lives of around 304 people in around eighteen Bihar districts. Several people have been facing difficulties in the city due to massive rainfall yet.
Areas including Araria, Purnia, Katihar, Motihari, Darbhanga, Kishanganj, Muzaffapur, Bettiah, Sitamarhi, Sheohar, Saharsa, Supaul, Madhepura and Khagaria hit the most by heavy floods.
Now, Flood waters have been reducing in areas involving Araria, Purnia, Kishanganj and Katihar.
The condition remains bad in areas including Darbhanga, Samastipur and Motihari, where banks have been contravene. The flood water has reached new areas now due to which several people are being forced to lost their homes.
Taralahi village in Darbhanga got badly affected as Bagmati river has led to heavy demolition. Nearly 12 people lost their lives in the northern district.
“We rescued the candidates from this school couple of days back as the water level begins to increase but we have got no assistance from the administration in this. We are confiscating the tables and chairs now”, a local villager asserted.
