Due to knee injury, star batsman of South Africa, AB de Villiers got out of the T-20 international series against India. One day before the fifth one-day international match, AB de Villiers got his knee injured but still the batsman played in the last two ODIs. The manager of South Africa’s team, Mohammed Moosajee said that AB suffered a knee injury while batting before the fifth one-day. He passed the fitness test on Friday, but the injury increased significantly during the match.
South Africa Cricket also said in its release that De Villiers has been advised to take rest to recover from injury before the four-Test series against Australia, starting on March 1 in Durban. During the third Test against India, De Villiers had a right knee injury and he could not play in the first three ODIs.
