Bharti Airtel ties up with Celkon to unveil 4G phone at a cost of Rs 1349


Telecom Company Bharti Airtel has collaborated with smartphone maker company Celkon to provide its pre-paid customers 4G handset at cost of Rs 1,349.

Currently, Celkon Smart 4G cellphone involves 4-inch touch-screen, dual SIM slots, 1 GB RAM as well as 8GB ROM. It has a price tag of 3,500.

The collaboration has been done under the ‘MeraPehla Smartphone’ plan of Airtel. The users are required to submit a down payment of Rs 2,849 for the phone. To buy this handset, they are needed to do recharge of 169 for 36 months and later after 18 months, 500 rupees will be refunded and following 36 months remaining amount of 1,000 rupees will be given back, Airtel stated.

The users not keen in Rs 169 offer have suppleness of doing recharges of any value and validity according to their necessities. But, recharges of worth ₹3,000 must be completed in initial 18 months.

Celkon chairman and managing director Y. Guru affirmed that Celkon was sure of selling by December five lakh handsets under the scheme.
