Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee shocked by Arun Jaitley’s tweet on Netaji


KOLKATA: CM Mamta Banerjee alleged that she was shocked and hurt by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s tweet about Netaji Subhash Chndra Bose. The reports said that he died as his aircraft got crash in Taiwan in 1945 but the news has not been confimed yet.

This year, during Bengal election Netaji's grand-nephew Chandra Bose has demanded an apology from Mr Jaitley.

On Netaji’s death anniversary, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley had paid tribute to him and said that the iconic leader died in the crash on 18 August, 1945.

His death has become mystery among everybody as well as it remains an emotional subject in Bengal. Two enquiries suggested that Netaji died in the air crash but a third disagreed.

Netaji’s family feels that he died in the air crash. Moreover, other persons denied that he killed in the crash. He lived in Faizabad for many years as one "Gumnami Baba".

Last Year, Mamata Banerjee had made around 65 files on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.

Last October, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with members of the Bose family. He had promised his families them he would seek help from other countries including UK and Russia to get the secret files on the freedom fighter.
