The first trailer of the live action Beauty and the Beast film released on Monday, starting the week with a blast. The Disney film revamps the energized 1991 variant with Emma Watson and Downton Abbey former student Dan Stevens playing Belle and the reviled Beast.
Luke Evans and Kevin Kline fill the staying live activity lead parts. Luke, seen as the courageous Bard in The Hobbit set of three, is given here a role as hostile seeker Gaston. Kevin Kline plays Belle’s dad, a whimsical creator.
Whatever remains of the significant cast have been enrolled to voice the family staff-turned-objects that populate the Beast’s stronghold – and what a cast it is: Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci lead a rundown of notables.
Lumiere, Cogsworth and other cherished characters from the Disney unique have all been given the CGI treatment here.
For Emma Watson, fearless, scholarly Belle appears a characteristic movement from brave, adademic Hermione of the Harry Potter movies.
Dan Stevens, greatly cherished as Downton Abbey’s Matthew Crawley and seen as a comic Lancelot in Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb, is unrecognizable under his Beast make-up – there’s a treat in store for both Belle and the group of onlookers when the revile is at last lifted.
