BCCI may file review petition seeking relief from Lodha reforms

The Indian cricket board discussed on Friday whether it should file a review petition in the Supreme Court to seek relief from some of the provisions in the Justice RM Lodha panel report, an official said. “That was something that came up in the SGM,” the official said after attending the meeting in the Capital.

The BCCI special general meeting was called to discuss the impact of the Lodha panel recommendations which the Supreme Court has asked the cricket board to implement over the next six months.

Asking officials to step down after nine years in office is among the issues which has board officials concerned. The state units have authorised the secretary Ajay Shirke and president Anurag Thakur to deal with the issues.
