Barbed wire takes life of leopard in Jodhpur


Jodhpur: On Thursday morning in Sirohi district a young male leopard killed in village Seeba following getting stuck in the barbed wire fencing of an agricultural farm.

On getting the information, forest department hurried to the spot and managed for the post-mortem of the leopard. The panther was 2-3 years in age.

Sirohi DFO (wildlife) Sangram Singh has alos further conveyed that seemingly the leopard was trapped in the wire fencing and could not ran away.

DFO also further added that, it emerged that it struggled tough to escape himself but the barbed wire was tangled around his neck and he died there. He further added that they were awaiting for the postmortem report.
