Bail granted to suspended RJD MLA in a rape case on a minor terminated by the Supreme Court


NEW DELHI: The bail granted to the suspended RJD MLA Rajballabk Yadav who is facing trial for allegedly raping a minor girl was on Thursday terminated by the Supreme Court on Thursday.

The plea of Yadav was rejected by bench comprising of justices AK Sikri and AM Sapre. Yadav agreed to give an undertaking to remain out of state till the trial in rape case is completed.

The charges against the state lawmakers were very serious and Yadav might also try to influence the witness in the case, the court while rejecting his plea was quoted as saying.

An order was passed the court on the plea of Nitish Kumar govt which approached the apex court challenging Patna High Court order granting bail to Yadav.
