Mumbai : Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt says her upcoming romantic-comedy "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" is not a sequel to the 2014 hit 'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania' but both are definitely part of one franchise. To make it clearer for you, the relationship between the two films will be much like Munnabhai MBBS and Lage Raho Munnabhai.
'Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania', also starring Varun Dhawan, was an endearing love story between a young feisty Ambala girl and a carefree Delhi boy. The 23-year-old Kapoor and Sons actor is excited to re-team not only with Varun but also director Shashank Khaitan, who helmed the first movie. “It’s great to be back with the whole team. There’s not only Varun but also our director Shashank, the director of photography is the same, the sound designer is the same. It’s like working with family.” The film is being produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
