Baby on drip being shifted without a stretcher at top Hyderabad hospital

In a wrenching visual from a top hospital in Hyderabad, an infant is shifted without a stretcher, carried in the arms of a relative. An IV drip and an oxygen cylinder is rolled alongside.

The video has emerged from the government run Niloufer Hospital, which is among the premier hospitals of Hyderabad.

The infant was clearly being shifted from the new to the old building of the hospital.

Activists say this points to lack of stretchers even within the hospital.

This comes days after a man utilized a toy scooter inside the city’s Gandhi hospital to show that there were no wheelchairs available for patients. S Raju, who was admitted after he was electrocuted months ago, alleged that hospital staff were requesting bribe for a wheelchair. He was given one after media reports.
