Australian Player Aaron Finch will not play in 50-over warm-up game over Board President’s XI starting from Tuesday in Chennai. He will miss the game because of calf injury.
As per the reports, as a safety measure ahead of the five-match ODI series, the team will be with no opener, however, he will come back to the squad for the initial game against India on Sunday.
In the month of July, Opener Aaron Finch sustained the injury during County Championships. Australian Champion has been putting lot of effort to get prepared for the initial ODI against India.
The reports revealed that all-rounder Hilton Cartwight is also in uncertainty and can fail to play the match. On Monday, he wasn’t present during the training session. On Tuesday, the committee will took decision over his inclusion in the team
“It’s tough conditions here … I’ve just come from training and I’m still sweating,” James Faulkner stated.
“We’re eager to get out there (on Tuesday) and it’s going to be a good series. We have to acclimatise to the conditions. I’m looking forward to getting out there in the heat, playing well, bowling some variations and getting through the game with a solid performance.” he stated.
