Australia: Indian Devotee Donates Gold Crown To Saibaba Shrine In Shirdi


SHIRDI: An Australia-based Saibaba devotee, Venkat Suhas Atluri, today gave a gold crown, weighing 748 grams, to the Shirdi temple , authorities said. The crown, decorated with multi-hued diamonds, is evaluated to be worth over Rs. 20 lakh, authorities of Shri Saibaba Sansthan Trust said.

Mr Atluri went by the sanctuary in the morning on the event of Dussehra and partook in the ‘aarti’, they included.

“I am going by Shirdi since I was one-year-old. I hail from Andhra Pradesh and because of Saibaba’s endowments, I have settled in Australia,” he said.

One of the trustees, Sachin Tambe, said no less than one lakh fans went by the hallowed place today.
