A 50-year-old fisherman, chomped by a group of dogs at Pulluvilla close Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala, surrendered at an early stage Monday morning at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital, an authority said.
Jocelyn was assaulted late on Sunday night. He was strolling towards the shoreline soon after having his supper, preparing to go fishing when the dogs assaulted him, Keston, president of the local village council said.
“This happened around 11 pm Jocelyn was taken to the clinic, where he passed away today morning,” said Mr Keston.
It was in a similar place in August 2016, that a lady was chomped to death in a comparative canine assault. In the previous one year, this is the fourth loss in the state capital locale.
Speaking to IANS, a police official attached to the Kanjiramkulam police station confirmed the ghastly incident.
“Our authorities are at the hospital where the examination is being readied. After that a post-mortem would be led. At that point the body would be given over to the family,” said the police official.
