Asian Youth Boxing Championship: Indian Boxer Sachin Siwach Reaches to Finals


BANGKOK —  A well known boxer Sachin Siwach (49kg) reached to the final round of Asian Youth Boxing Championship on Thursday.  On the other hand, five other boxers clinched bronze medals  after defeating the match in Bangkok.

Siwach beat Thailand’s Panmod Thitisan to reach the final. He is ready to play against Uzbekistan’s player Samandar Kholmurodov today i.e. July 7.

Apart from Sachin, no Indian player achieved silver medal.

Boxer Ankit Kumar (60kg) lost the game against Thailand’s Sakda Ruamthamin. Inspite of a dominant show, he couldn’t able to win the game in second and third round.

On the other hand, Thailand’s Peerap Yaesungnoen beat Naveen Boora in the 69 kg category.

While, Harshpreet Sahrawat lost the game against Uzbekistan’s Lazizbek Mullajanov in the +91kg category.

On July 6, Indian boxer Sachin defeated China’s Zhu Chao in the 75 kg category.

India defeated Sri Lanka by 16 Runs in Women’s World Cup

The boxing tournament included 120 boxers from across 23 countries.
