KOTA: Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot today hit back party colleague Digvijaya Singh for recommending that he get to be active in central governmental issues, saying had the previous Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister concentrated on the state affairs , the party would have been in a more stronger position there.
Singh became inactive in state politics after his tenure as the Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister ended. Had he remained active in the state, Congress would have been in a stronger position there,” he said replying to a query at an event organised on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti in Kota.
“If we are elected as an MP, we will work at the Centre. It is up to the party high command to entrust responsibility,” he said.Asked about the “supper tact” started in the Rajasthan Pradesh Congress, he said it goes for making more open doors for interacting among party leaders and laborers to strategies to strengthen the party.
Mr Gehlot reviled the Vasundhara Raje government in the state, saying the elected representative have failed to convey on the grievances of the general population to the Chief Minister, who does not in even meet MLAs.He additionally condemned the state government’s offer to offer its energy undertakings to state-possessed NTPC Ltd.
