New Delhi: Ex-Indian Captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the spotlight of Indian cricket as the apparently winning side under Virat Kohli persists to build for the 2019 World Cup that will be held in England.
Following a hard-hitting series against New Zealand, India players have demanded for Dhoni’s involvement in game. India clinched both the ODI and T20I series against New Zealand by 2-1.
Though Indian skipper Virat Kohli has honestly flipside his precursor, stating everybody is after Dhoni’s living.
“He (Dhoni) strike a six in Delhi and it was displayed five times in the post-match show. Everybody was really glad. Abruptly he doesn’t attain in one game, and we are after his life.” Virat said.
“I believe people require to be a bit more tolerant. Dhoni is a guy who realizes where his cricket is. He is a very smart guy and knows where he stands with his body and his game. I don’t believe anyone else has the right to make a decision for him,” he added.
Bowler Ashish Nehra also shared, ‘In every house, you require an elder one and he is there. I believe till next two to three years or as long as his body permits he plays. Cricket is a game of conditions absolutely and it is not trouble-free to execute. If it was in mind or if I am coach or captain I will be on his head that he has to play. I am not stating he doesn’t execute he has to play. Dhoni is the first guy who will lift up his hand and stated I am quitting if he is not playing. Though I individually believe we should leave at MS Dhoni and allow him play cricket.”
Three years back, Dhoni resigned from the Test cricket and quit the post of captain of limited over matches in January 2017. MS Dhoni has taken part in 90 Test matches, 309 ODIs, 83 T20I matches.
