Nepal's billionaire business group, like Reliance Jio of India, is in the process of making a major overhaul in the telecom sector on the cheap data of its country. CG Corp has set up a game-changer to launch a new era of digital services with the aim of changing the country's digital platform by offering data at very affordable rates.
CG Corp Chairman Binod Choudhary said that this venture is Nepal's first and real 4G and is the cornerstone of 5G services. He said that this service will be started as soon as necessary approvals are received. He told that in the first phase, it will invest $ 225 million.
There are more than 130 companies in Choudhury's group who are employed in various sectors including financial services, energy, education, hospitality and real estate. Chaudhary said that we want to become a serious player in the digital sector. We are currently bringing more than what other companies are offering. We believe our offer will prove to be game-changing.
He said that we are making data very economical because we believe that we are not going to start any telecom company, rather we are starting a new era digital company, which will change Nepal's digital platform. He said that his group is planning network expansion and some regulatory approvals are awaiting. The CG Group has already launched telecom company Lifecell in Nepal in partnership with Lifecare owned by Turkcell in Nepal.
