Sam Billings is an England cricketer. Currently on a tour of New Zealand with the team. Billings has gone on this tour as vice-captain and wicketkeeper of the team. ICC got angry at him before the first T20I match of the tour. The ICC banned the batting gloves of Billings. Poor Billings fled quickly and brought another pair. Then he played the match with these new gloves. England won this match by 7 wickets.
#Why ICC Banned Gloves
Billings wears very colourful gloves made by a particular company. He wore these gloves in two practice matches this week. These gloves are called offcut.
These gloves are made from recycled material of cricket equipment. Due to this, they are much more colourful. These gloves were launched in October this year. According to ICC rules, Billings cannot wear them in international matches.
Now Billings will have to wait for the franchise Cricket Leagues to wear these gloves. In the Indian Premier League, he plays for Chennai Super Kings.
