Mumbai suffer second blow, Adam Milne pulls out of the IPL 2019

Mumbai Indians team has suffered another blow as Adam Milne has been pull out from the IPL 2019 due to injury. Lasith Malinga has opted to leave the first six matches of the IPL to meet the condition set by Sri Lankan cricket to play in the domestic 50-over competition to qualify for the World Cup. Now Mumbai Indians team suffered a big jolt. Adam is likely to be out of the entire tournament.

Mumbai Indians have not issued an official statement on Milne, but according to information by ESPN CricInfo, young West Indies fast bowler Alzarri Joseph can replace Adam. Mumbai can not sign a player as a substitute for a higher amount than the payment for the original player. For the replacement of Milne, the franchisee price can not exceed Rs 75 lakhs, which was paid for the Kiwi at the auction.

Malinga also refused to play the opening match

Sri Lankan pace bowler Lasith Malinga also confirmed that he will not play in the first six games of the league. Malinga wants to make a place in the World Cup for the Lankans, and so he chose to play in the domestic 50-over tournament.

It was being reported that the Sri Lankan selectors had told the players that they must play in the domestic Super Provincial One-Day tournament (from April 4 to April 11) in order to play the 2019 World Cup.
