ICC World Cup tournament director Steve Elworthy said during a promotion in London that the demand for tickets to match at the group stage between India and Pakistan is more than the match between England and Australia and the final in Lords.

ESPN Cricinfo said, “The number of tickets for this match (India vs. Pakistan) is more than 400000, which is a very large number. Only 25,000 audience can watch the match in stadium. So, many people might get disappointment.”

Elworthy said that between 230000 and 240000 people have applied for the match between England and Australia, while the number of applicants for the final is between 260000 to 270000.
