The players will be auctioned for the next season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in Kolkata on 19 December. The IPL Governing Council took this decision in a meeting on Tuesday. The players' auction for the IPL to be held in April-May every year is being held in Kolkata for the first time. However, the city is home to Shah Rukh Khan's Kolkata Knight Riders.
A member of the IPL Governing Council said after the meeting, 'The IPL auction will be held in Kolkata on December 19. Earlier it used to be in Bengaluru. ' Each franchise was allocated Rs 82 crore in the 2019 season, which has increased to Rs 85 crore per team in the 2020 season. Besides, each team will have an additional three crore rupees.
Delhi Capitals has a balance of 7.7 crores, Rajasthan Royals 7.15 crores and KKR has a balance of 6.05 crores.

Delhi Capitals: Rs 7.7 crore
Kings XI Punjab: Rs 3.7 crore
Kolkata Knight Riders: 6.05 Crore
Mumbai Indians: Rs 3.55 crore
Rajasthan Royals: Rs 7.15 crore
Royal Challengers Bangalore: Rs 1.80 crore
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Rs 5.30 Crore
