The committee tried to resolve this issue till the last time but India did not give visa to Pakistani players. After this the decision has been taken by the IOC.

Petitions filed for the upcoming Games on behalf of India have also been put on hold. After the terrorist attack in Pulwama, the Indian National Rifle Association said that our government had approved the application of Pakistan players but before the attack,

Pakistan had applied for visa for two shooters GM Bashir and Khalil Ahmed for this World Cup. Both of the shooters were of Rapid Fire category, which were not granted the visa. The Pakistani terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammad has taken responsibility for the Pulwama attack, in which 40 CRPF personnel were martyred.
