Nagpur: The Indian Davis Cup team will have to confront their countrymen in accordance with the draw on Wednesday, but due to the central government's policy not to allow any sports team to visit the neighboring country; this match is held at the neutral venue. Since March 1964, any Indian Davis Cup team has not toured Pakistan, and India won 4-0 in that match in Lahore. The draw of the competition in September this year was held in London. Its winning team will reach the World Group qualifier.

The government has not allowed the Indian cricket team to go to Pakistan for any bilateral match. The PCB also filed a compensation case in this regard before the ICC arbitrator but eventually lost to the BCCI.

The All India Tennis Association (AITA) said that he will talk to the government to know if the team will be allowed to travel or not. AITA General Secretary Hiramony Chatterjee told PTI, "AITA does not have an option. We have to emulate the government's policy. We will talk to the government to know about it. The government has not allowed any sports team to travel to Pakistan.” Pakistan last year hosted Grass Kart for Uzbekistan and Korea.
