Indian women's cricket team player Smriti Mandhana has became India's youngest T20I captain and made a record. These days, the three-match T-20 series is being played between India and England and in this series Smriti Mandhana has been given the opportunity to captain the Indian team against England.

It is worth noting that, Harmanpreet Kaur was earlier also the youngest to lead the women's T20I side at 23 years and 237 days before Mandhana.

Madhana made a bright start as she won the toss and elected to field in the 1st T20I against England in Guwahati. Earlier, Indian cricketer Suresh Raina made a record of capturing the T20 in 23 years and 197 days. Mandhana has been given the opportunity to captain the Indian team in the place of captain Harmanpreet Kaur.
