England was the winner in World Cup 2019. Because of the rule by which England was declared winner, all the legends of cricket had strongly condemned the ICC rules. The ICC will never be able to change that rule but a new rule is involved in cricket.
This new rule will be valid from 1 August 2019. This rule will be equally effective for both male and female cricket. Under this rule, if a player is injured in the head while playing on the field then the substitute player can be included in the team instead. From August 1, the Ashes series will start between England and Australia, with which this rule will also be implemented.
The ICC has made this decision to make the game more secure. In the same year when Sri Lanka and Australia were competing, Kusal Mendis and Dimuth Karunaratne were hurt by the ball in the head. Later, only Dimuth got permission to play ahead. This rule is beneficial for every team whose player is injured.
