Australia has announced its team right after bowling coach David Seeker's resignation. The team will be commanded by Aaron Finch, while Alex Carry and Pat Cummins have been made vice-captains of the team. 11 of the 15 players in the team have been members of the Australian team who lost the ODI series 2-1 to Team India at home.

Clearly, Peter Siddle, Mitchell Marsh and Billy Stanley, who were part of the Australian team in the domestic ODI series against India, have not got place in the team. In place of these three, the team has been replaced by paceman Ken Richardson, Colter Nile and explosive batsman Aston Turner. Apart from these, opener Darcy Short has been included in the team to cover Shaun Marsh. Shaun Marsh is still boiled with hamstring injuries and now he may have to wait in Perth on the birth of his second child.

The two fast bowlers Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood were also expected to be included in the squad for India tour. But, both of them have not been able to recover from their injuries right now. While Starc was injured in the upper part of the body, during the Canberra Test against Sri Lanka, Hazlewood was upset with his back injury.

Both Stark and Hazlewood are the key link of Australia's bowling line-up in the World Cup. In such a way, not playing on such a vital tour of India is like creating obstacles in their preparation.
