Indian broadcaster IMG Reliance has withdrawn from its contract with the broadcast of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) T20 tournament after the terrorist attack in Pulwama last week. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced this on Sunday.
IMG was broadcasting Reliance PSL which is being played in the United Arab Emirates for security reasons. The company was also scheduled to broadcast the last knockouts in Karachi and Lahore next month.
40 Indian soldiers were martyred in this terrorist attack in Pulwama. This is the most cowardly terrorist attack in the last 30 years.
PCB said that the new broadcaster will be announced on Monday for the live telecast of the tournament. PCB managing director Wasim Khan said, "PCB always has an alternative plan and we are sure we are in a position to announce a new partner."
