US Reduces Visa Validity For Pakistan from 5 Year to Just 3 Month

The United States has issued a new visa policy for Pakistani citizens, the American embassy announced on Tuesday. The US has reduced the visa period for the Pakistan. Earlier the visa is issued to Pakistani citizens was of 5 years have now been reduced to 12 months.

According to the Pakistani newspaper The Tribune, the US ambassador present in Pakistan has informed the government about it. The US will now give a three-month visa to Pakistani journalists and person who belongs to media. Pakistan has already taken such steps towards the US citizens.

Not only that, the United States also increased fees that is been taken for visa as well. It means If a Pakistani wants to go to the US, then he can not stay here for more than 12 months, if he has to stay there for a long time, he will have to return to Pakistan and have to renew the visa.

The embassy has been increased fees $32 for I Visas and $38 for H, L and R Visa categories.

That means now a Pakistani journalist will have to pay $192 to apply for visa, while in some other categories there is a fee of $198. According to the figures released by the US, about 38 thousand Pakistanis were denied visa to the US in 2018.
