More than 50 militants were killed and many assaults in Army's action in the last 24 hours in Bala Murghab district of Badghis province of Afghanistan.
Bala Murghab is the largest and the most populous district in Badghis. “Bala Murghab is an important area. The west and the north of the country will be under threat if it falls to the Taliban,” said Akazai, a resident of the district.
The statement issued by the army said 51 militants were killed and many were injured in the military campaign launched on Friday.
Local news agency Pazhok said that the Taliban has made its head all around Bala Murghab district. There is no response from the Taliban yet.
